Home of the majestic Blue-Crowned Parrot, an endemic and Endangered species

In this Natural Reserve there are species of great conservation importance such as the Blue-crowned Parrot (Hapalopsittaca fuertesi), endemic and critically endangered species, the Paramuno Parrot (Leptosittaca branickii), a species considered vulnerable, and the Rufous-fronted Parakeet (Bolborhynchus ferrugineifrons), an endemic and endangered species.

Location:

The natural reserve is located on the western flank of the Colombian Central Cordillera, in the Pedregales Alto village, in the municipality of Génova, in the department of Quindío, near the El Mirador Municipal Reserve.
