The launch will be on October, Friday the 16th at the premises of the Jardín Botánico wich will have a big party where children and adults will participate in different playful activities where they will get to know migratory birds and their habitat and the way to contribute to their conservation.
The Festival is a national event, the activities also extend to the municipalities of San Vicente de Chucuri in Santander, Jardín, Antioquia; Génova in the department of Quindío, Los Córdobas in Cordoba, Roncesvalles, Tolima and other regions of the country where we expect the participation of more than 6000 people in parades, carnival, contests, birding hikes, workshops, lectures, exhibits and other activities more.

Fundación ProAves has held the Festival each year in order to disclose protected areas for the conservation of migratory bird habitat and create awareness and commitment of communities to preserve and ensure their return in each migratory journey.
Activities in the different regions:
• Workshops and presentations on migratory birds Escuelas Amigas de las Aves.
• Talks in educational institutions.
• Development of games with students
• ecological Hiking, outputs species identification, and observation runs calls Migratory Routes for youth and children.
