The Colombian NGO ProAves and its tourism subsidiary EcoTurs Colombia run a recently renovated historic 14-room eco-hotel in the village of Minca, on the slope of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. The hotel is just 35 minutes from Caribbean beach resorts and lies within the coffee belt, en route to the famous El Dorado Bird Reserve.
We are looking for an individual or couple that are efficient, honest and hard-working to manage the hotel including bookings, accounts, hotel staff, bar/restaurant, and marketing. Experience of managing people and ability to communicate effectively both in Spanish and English is essential. An interest in conservation and the environment is desirable, in order to help promote the hotel and the town as an eco-tourism destination, both to foreigners including birdwatchers and the national market.
