Based on a model of potential distribution of the species using MAXENT, we selected 34 blocks of 100Km2 in four countries. A total of 919 censuses in 350 point counts were conducted and 194 new records of the species were obtained.
Most of the records occurred in secondary forest (with about 60% of the records), so it is suggested that this type of habitat, including wooded pastures and patches of forest in early successional states, are used more frequently than expected.

We also develop a new model of potential distribution of the species adding the new records. The model shows that optimal areas for the species are related to mountain areas of central and northern South America.
The data obtained on this study along with the next surveys will be used to produce a conservation action plan to protect the species on its wintering grounds.

We also did several activities to raise awareness about the species, that included the printing of 3,000 copies of a new poster about the species where it reinforces the idea of connectivity between different countries and the importance of joint efforts and develop actions coordinated conservation to ensure their protection.

400 shirts were printed with the logo of Alliance, 10,000 stickers with the photograph of the species and 2,500 species in transparent vinyl stickers with the alliance logo and website address.
