Conservation News
Our work focuses on protecting a wide variety of endemic, resident, and migratory birds, as well as mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and a wealth of flora and fauna characteristic of our country, through the creation of 27 nature reserves located in 14 departments of Colombia.
Thanks to the support of our donors, communities, and various stakeholders who join forces in conservation efforts, we protect more than 28,000 hectares of key ecosystems to preserve the most endangered terrestrial species in our country.
Our impact
We preserve:
1,335 of the 1,968 species existing in Colombia
66 of the 86 species endemic to Colombia
82 of the 107 terrestrial (non-marine) species globally threatened in Colombia
Of the endangered BIRD species, we protect:
8 Critically Endangered
58 Vulnerable
