Our work focuses on protecting a wide variety of endemic, resident, and migratory birds, as well as mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and a wealth of flora and fauna characteristic of our country, through the creation of 27 nature reserves located in 14 departments of Colombia.
Thanks to the support of our donors, communities, and various stakeholders who join forces in conservation efforts, we protect more than 28,000 hectares of key ecosystems to preserve the most endangered terrestrial species in our country.
🌱 Empowering those who protect our forests is an essential part of our mission.
During Ranger Training, our team experienced a week of learning, practice, and connection with nature, enriching their conservation skills in all of our Nature Reserves in Colombia. 🇨🇴🦜💚
💚 27 years of bird conservation in the country 💚
Today we celebrate the birth of ProAves, a story that began 27 years ago and continues to grow among forests, birds, and communities. 🌿
We are 27 Nature Reserves united by a common purpose: to protect life and biodiversity in Colombia. 🦜
La Rana Chiva visited more than 94 schools and reached over 27,000 people to teach them about biodiversity conservation.
Visit our YouTube channel and watch our documentary "Recorriendo los Caminos de la Conservación" (Traveling the Paths of Conservation).
We continue to restore forests with magnolias. With every seed harvested and every tree planted, we ensure a future for this species and its ecosystem. Thanks to Fondation Franklinia, we are making progress in identifying, monitoring, and restoring different species of magnolias in 13 of our Nature Reserves.
