One of our camera traps in the ProAves Reinita Cielo Azul Reserve, in the department of Santander, recorded this beautiful moment of the Andean Bear (𝑇𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑠 𝑜𝑟𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑠𝑠).
This charismatic bear is the only one in South America, inhabits Andean forest ecosystems and is known as the guardian of the moors and water.
The Chocolate Frog (Hyloscirtus larinopygion) is a species that inhabits the magical Andean forests, sub-páramos, and páramos of Colombia. Its home ranges from Antioquia to Cauca, at elevations between 1,950 and 3,100 meters above sea level. Some are green and others brown, due to the diversity in their pigmentation.

We continue restoring forests with magnolias. With every seed harvested and every tree planted, we secure a future for this species and its ecosystem. Thanks to Fondation Franklinia, we are making progress in the identification, monitoring, and restoration of different magnolia species across 13 of our Nature Reserves.
