Pablo is a founding member of Fundación ProAves. He completed his studies on the yellow-eared parrot in Jardín, Antioquia, in 2002. Pablo is a professional bird and nature guide in Colombia and owner of one of the oldest and most respected birding companies in Colombia, Multicolored Birding Tours.
Juan is a founding member of Fundación ProAves and has more than 25 years of field experience in ornithology and bird conservation: for 3 years he directed the study of the Yellow-eared Parrot (Ognorynchus icterotis) in the central mountain range, led 8 years tours with foreigners Throughout Colombia, he has been working for 4 years in the Migratory Bird Project in the El Pangán and Reinita Cielo Azul Proaves Reserves, and a year as deputy director of the Caribbean Regional. In addition, he is a bird guide and owner of the Birding Colombia company.
Juan has been a member of the Board of Directors of Fundación ProAves for more than ten years and an ornithologist for more than 20 years. He completed his master’s and doctorate studies at King’s College London on bird distribution in Colombia. He is the author of the Atlas de las Aves de Colombia that maps the distribution and abundance of avian taxa in Colombia to outline research and conservation priorities.
Biologist specializing in change management, with experience in ecotourism projects, biodiversity conservation and food security. He is a speaker on adaptability, development of soft skills and customer experience; and creator of educational content and scientific dissemination on his Youtube channel Sustainable Biology.
