LOCATION
The ProAves Reserve is located in the foothills of the eastern Colombian plains, at
northwest of the city of Villavicencio, capital of the department of Meta (Colombia). It is located
between 800 and 1,100 meters above sea level.
Located in a tropical humid forest and made up of a small portion of secondary forest in excellent condition. It borders a large portion of primary and secondary forests with little intervention, called the Bavarian forests.
