Every year around 197 species of migratory birds visit Colombia in search of warm locales to refuel and wait out the cold winter months of different latitudes. And for this very reason, ProAves will host a Migratory Birds Festival with the objective of generating community interest in learning more about these extreme travelers and the importance of preserving their rapidly decreasing habitats.
