This excellent bilingual checklist confirms definitively that Colombia has more bird species than any other country in the world, with extensive information provided on 1870 species and all subspecies that have been confirmed within the Republic of Colombia, as of March 2008. This is the 5th publication of the journal Conservación Colombiana by Fundación ProAves and the second edition of this checklist, drawing on South American ornithological knowledge.
