The Young Researchers group of ProAves has been significantly contributed to the Pangán Bird Reserve, such as repairing and making signs, and observing and drawing birds.
The Pangán Ecocentro, ProAves headquarters in the town of Junín, Nariño, has also been refurbished owning to heavy use by the community.
In a recent visit made by the Parrot Bus to Altaquer, a neighbouring town to Junin, members of the Young Researchers group were in charge of community activities and gave a presentation to schools.
While the group undertakes birding trips organized by ProAves staff; they are lacking binoculars and bird guides. If you want to support their activities and the biodiversity conservation in Colombia, please donate online or write to fundacion@proaves.org
