Alex is a Biologist from the University of Cauca and has more than 20 years of experience in conservation actions in different regions of the country.

Alex is an expert in bird and amphibian taxonomy and is a founding member of the Fundación ProAves of Colombia where he has developed different research and conservation projects in threatened bird species throughout Colombia.
