Paloma steps into this leadership role with a strong vision to further strengthen ProAves’ conservation efforts, ensuring the protection of endangered species and their natural habitats. Her extensive experience, strategic mindset, and unwavering commitment to biodiversity conservation make her the ideal leader to guide ProAves into its next phase of growth.

In her previous role as Operations Director and Accountant, Paloma was instrumental in managing and expanding the organization. She oversaw the administration of 27 Natural Reserves across Colombia, spearheaded conservation programs, and cultivated national and international partnerships that have been vital to our success. Now, as Executive Director, she will continue to drive initiatives in protection, research, and environmental education, further elevating ProAves’ impact.

Paloma’s leadership will be key to reinforcing our ongoing efforts to protect Colombia’s most endangered species, from iconic parrots to elusive mammals and critical ecosystems. Her deep-rooted passion for biodiversity, combined with her strategic expertise, will inspire new initiatives, innovative conservation strategies, and expanded collaborations in the pursuit of long-term environmental sustainability.
